Easter!!

The sunday before Easter, we went to Grandma and Papa's to color Easter eggs.  It was so much easier this year with 4 out of 6 kids not needing help.  They had a lot of fun, but Kaydee insisted no one eat her eggs.  She said "Mine are too pretty to eat.  Sydnee, can I have one of yours?"  Lol.

The friday before Easter, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Sheriff's house and they gave the kids each a basket of goodies and fun things, and they did an egg hunt in their back yard.  The older girls got their eggs super fast and then they pointed out to Maycee where she could find hers.  It was fun.

Then on saturday (day before Easter), we went to Grandma Elwood's assisted living place for an Easter egg hunt.  They served us a really good breakfast, and then they had eggs and candy spread all down each hallway.  The girls had a lot of fun and got tons of candy. Maycee was opening her eggs, and licking each candy, as if that would keep her sisters from taking it.  Ha ha.

The next morning, Sydnee and Kaydee got up early, so I made them come in my room and watch tv for a bit until I woke Maycee up.  I didn't want them getting a head start on the eggs without her. They could hardly stand it, but then I finally got her up and they all rushed down and collected Easter eggs.  Then they found their baskets hidden in the bath tub.  Silly Bunny!  They got some fun things and a lot of candy and they each got shoes and pajamas.

After Maycee's nap, we went to Grandma and Papa's where they had an Easter egg hunt.   There were SO many eggs, it was insane.  Grandma had them each go out and get 3 at a time, and come back to the patio so that they would all get equal amouts since the younger ones are slower.  It was working out great, but Kaydee didn't understand the directions and started piling them in her bag and then when she found out she was only supposed to be getting 3 she dumped her whole bag out and started crying.  She was grumpy after that.  After dinner, Grandma and Papa gave all the kids a bucket filled with fun toys and treats and they all were having fun with their stuff.  It turned out to be a really great day!
