Mother's Day

I honestly had the BEST Mother's day.  Well, it started wednesday.  I decided that the best gift for the grandma's would be pictures.  I tried to take my own and it was NOT working out.  I had decided to get pictures done in studio in May anyway, since it was right in between all 3 kids' birthdays.  So I called and the girl we love got us an appt for thursday.  I had to run that night and find outfits and I loved this line at Crazy 8's.  I like when my girls coordinate but don't wear the exact same in pictures.  The kids were so good and it only took 15 min to get their pictures taken.  Most of them were single shots because they immediately posed and smiled.  It was so nice and stress free.
Then on friday Grandma and Grandpa Sheriff wanted Sydnee and Kaydee to come and sleep over.  They were so excited and Sydnee was asking me all afternoon when it would be time to go.  So Jeff dropped them off that night and me and Maycee enjoyed having some bonding time.  It was so nice and relaxing to wake up saturday morning and have peace and quiet!  After Maycee got up we got ready and went and bought flowers with Grandma Becky.  Maycee was so good the whole time we were shopping and it was really easy to take just her along.  Then we went to visit great Grandma and Grandpa Elwood and take them gifts for mother's day and grandpa's birthday.  Maycee was so happy and smiling at them and I hope it made their day.
After Maycee went down for a nap me and mom planted flowers and we had fun together.  After she left it was super quiet until Jeff and the older girls came bounding in the house.  They had SO much fun at their sleepover.  And they brought me home the most sweetest gifts ever.  Grandma put a lot of thought into helping them give me Mother's day and it meant so much to me.  They made cards where grandma asked questions and wrote down their answers.  They go as follows:

My mom likes to drink...
Sydnee: diet coke
Kaydee: Root beer, apple juice (which happen to be her favorite drinks.)
My mom's favorite movie or tv show is...
Sydnee:Rapunzel
Kaydee: Bubble Guppies
When mom has some extra time she likes to:
Sydnee: Read stories with me
Kaydee: Clean the counter (Oh my, I laughed so hard!)
I love it when my mom...
Sydnee: plays with me
Kaydee: fixes my bear and puts his mouth back on.
My mom is ___ years old.
Sydnee: 18
Kaydee:19
My mom's favorite color is..
Sydnee: orange, red
Kaydee: red, blue

SO CUTE!
Not only that, they painted and decorated pots and planted flowers in them for me, AND made me delicious pumpkin cookies.  They talked all about their sleepover and can't wait to do it again.  I loved the gifts, I loved the break, and I loved hearing all about it.
On sunday I woke up and Jeff gave me a card.  It was a very sweet card and I didn't think anything of it.  Jeff left for work and then I got a text saying that no, he wasn't lazy and he actually did get me gifts.  But he was going to send me texts all morning with clues.  So there were 5 bags hidden around the house and each had a card saying the top reasons I was a great mom.  It was the sweetest thing!  And figuring out the clues was fun too.
That afternoon we went to Grandma and Papa's and met up with everyone and then went to Farmington pond and had a picnic and ate KFC.  We walked around and had fun and then went back to Grandma's for dessert.
Mother's day was great, but I can't help but feel that I'm not the one who deserves the gifts.  I'm lucky enough to be the mom to 3 sweet and amazing little girls, and I should be buying them gifts!  They in themselves are gifts enough for me!!
