First Lagoon trip of the year.

She got scared on this one when it would go up high because she said her bum was falling off.
There's nothing cuter than sisters aiming and shooting guns at each other :-O

 Oh, Kaydee....

Maycee's first carousel ride!

We had a lot of fun.  The weather was perfect.  Sydnee has gotten so much better about not being scared and finally went on Puff!  She actually liked it too.  Kaydee is usually not scared of anything, but I took her on Bambora and she didn't love it.  I think if we had sat in the back so she could see where the track was going to go, maybe she would have liked it more.
Grandma Becky made us yummy sandwiches and punch and chips so we ate dinner there at a pavillion.  The kids didn't want to leave but they closed at 6 so we had to.  But we have our season passes and plan to get good use of them!

Wednesday was sweet Makenzie's 7th birthday!  We went to McDonalds to see her and eat dinner with her that night, but her party is tomorrow.  I can't believe how fast she has grown.  I remember the day she was born.  She has a very special place in my heart.

This week has been a little rough.  Kaydee is refusing to nap some days and when she's tired she gets a little naughty.  And Maycee has started only taking one nap a day, plus has cut 3 of 4 molars in the last couple weeks, and she hasn't been her super happy self.  Yesterday Sydnee was messing around and not listening and fell off the couch onto the dog and it hurt his leg.  He took a nap and woke up fine, but I was worried about him.  Then Kaydee asked if she could wear lipstick and I told her no because she's too little.  Just then, she turned around and there was brown allllll around her lips and up onto her cheeks.  She had taken a white board crayon and put her "lipstick" on.  That was actually pretty funny.  But then the girls were playing and Kaydee suddenly bit Sydnee on the leg hard.  She claims she was just pretending to be a dog.  Oh dear.

The other night after Sydnee's bath I kinda mumbled that her hair smelled like a wet dog (oops, didn't realize I said it out loud) and she replied "YOU smell like a DRY dog."
The girls get to celebrate their birthdays in their preschool classes next week since they have summer birthdays.  So we made posters that have pics of them when they were born, then 1st bday, 2nd bday, etc.  They both saw the pic of Kaydee with her birthday cake and said "That looks like Maycee!"  So that night Maycee is in the bath and Kaydee says to me "Is that Maycee?"  I said "Yes.  Who else would it be?"  She goes "Well, it kinda looks like me.  But I'm right here (points to self).  So that must be Maycee."

We are taking the kids up to East Canyon on sunday afternoon and camping over night.  We have never taken them before and they are so excited.  We are only going for one night because we want to try it out and see if it's something they will like.  Jeff set up the tent trailer so we could get it all cleaned up and ready and the girls have been having so much fun playing in it.  They say it's their dr office, and Sydnee had a hole in herself so she needed Dr. Kaydee to fix it.  The hole was in her hip, but she was JUST pretending she said.  Funny girls.
I can't wait to see how this camping trip goes. We are planning on no sleep but that's half the fun, right?  ;)

Mother's Day

I honestly had the BEST Mother's day.  Well, it started wednesday.  I decided that the best gift for the grandma's would be pictures.  I tried to take my own and it was NOT working out.  I had decided to get pictures done in studio in May anyway, since it was right in between all 3 kids' birthdays.  So I called and the girl we love got us an appt for thursday.  I had to run that night and find outfits and I loved this line at Crazy 8's.  I like when my girls coordinate but don't wear the exact same in pictures.  The kids were so good and it only took 15 min to get their pictures taken.  Most of them were single shots because they immediately posed and smiled.  It was so nice and stress free.
Then on friday Grandma and Grandpa Sheriff wanted Sydnee and Kaydee to come and sleep over.  They were so excited and Sydnee was asking me all afternoon when it would be time to go.  So Jeff dropped them off that night and me and Maycee enjoyed having some bonding time.  It was so nice and relaxing to wake up saturday morning and have peace and quiet!  After Maycee got up we got ready and went and bought flowers with Grandma Becky.  Maycee was so good the whole time we were shopping and it was really easy to take just her along.  Then we went to visit great Grandma and Grandpa Elwood and take them gifts for mother's day and grandpa's birthday.  Maycee was so happy and smiling at them and I hope it made their day.
After Maycee went down for a nap me and mom planted flowers and we had fun together.  After she left it was super quiet until Jeff and the older girls came bounding in the house.  They had SO much fun at their sleepover.  And they brought me home the most sweetest gifts ever.  Grandma put a lot of thought into helping them give me Mother's day and it meant so much to me.  They made cards where grandma asked questions and wrote down their answers.  They go as follows:

My mom likes to drink...
Sydnee: diet coke
Kaydee: Root beer, apple juice (which happen to be her favorite drinks.)
My mom's favorite movie or tv show is...
Sydnee:Rapunzel
Kaydee: Bubble Guppies
When mom has some extra time she likes to:
Sydnee: Read stories with me
Kaydee: Clean the counter (Oh my, I laughed so hard!)
I love it when my mom...
Sydnee: plays with me
Kaydee: fixes my bear and puts his mouth back on.
My mom is ___ years old.
Sydnee: 18
Kaydee:19
My mom's favorite color is..
Sydnee: orange, red
Kaydee: red, blue

SO CUTE!
Not only that, they painted and decorated pots and planted flowers in them for me, AND made me delicious pumpkin cookies.  They talked all about their sleepover and can't wait to do it again.  I loved the gifts, I loved the break, and I loved hearing all about it.
On sunday I woke up and Jeff gave me a card.  It was a very sweet card and I didn't think anything of it.  Jeff left for work and then I got a text saying that no, he wasn't lazy and he actually did get me gifts.  But he was going to send me texts all morning with clues.  So there were 5 bags hidden around the house and each had a card saying the top reasons I was a great mom.  It was the sweetest thing!  And figuring out the clues was fun too.
That afternoon we went to Grandma and Papa's and met up with everyone and then went to Farmington pond and had a picnic and ate KFC.  We walked around and had fun and then went back to Grandma's for dessert.
Mother's day was great, but I can't help but feel that I'm not the one who deserves the gifts.  I'm lucky enough to be the mom to 3 sweet and amazing little girls, and I should be buying them gifts!  They in themselves are gifts enough for me!!

Our dog...Soft

Things have been busy and fun around here with the new puppy.  We named him Bosco, but whenever Maycee would go by him I would tell her to "be soft."  I always tell her to say dog, but she thinks his name is 'Soft' so that's what she calls him.  It makes me laugh.  He's very playful and is getting better about only biting toys and not us.  But he's a puppy so what can you expect.  He's a really good boy though and the kids just love him.
We've been enjoying playing outside since the weather is good.  We even got out and planted our garden on tuesday (after Jeff tilled and tilled and tilled...I think he's in love with his new tiller.  Lol.)The kids and dog loved playing in the dirt and Sydnee was a good little helper planting the vegetables.  She said she is going to be a gardener when she grows up.  Kaydee on the other hand wants to be a firefigher/dinosaur/grandma.  She said maybe she can be a grandma dinosaur.  Ha ha.
I bought Sydnee these books called BOB books that were recommended by a friend and she surprised me with sounding out the words and reading the books.  She is going to love kindergarten.  We got a letter telling us that she got the track we wanted and she gets to be in morning so we were glad.  She starts July 23rd!

An exciting week!

Monday was Maycee's actual first birthday.  So we gave her the presents from us that morning before the girls went to preschool.  She had fun with the paper and card.

We got her a swing for our swingset and she loves it!
We went to a bakery called Sweet Tooth Fairy to pick out cupcakes.  They went on cupcake wars and won.  They were so delicious!

 Maycee loved it!
That night, after the kids went to bed, Jeff drove all the way to Magna and bought a puppy.  The kids had no idea.  So the next morning, Sydnee got up and Jeff had the dog outside.  He hid him in his robe and we told Sydnee we had a surprise for them.  He put him down and this was her reaction.

 So surprised and excited!

Sydnee won't leave him alone.  She follows him around with food and water, and wants to be by him all the time.  The girls did have a bit of a rough time yesterday morning because he got really playful and they were scared of him biting.  But today they are doing much better.

 My babies!
Cute little Bosco!  (Which is a much better name than Costco, like the kids were trying to name him.  Or they liked Uranus too....)
Maycee had a dr appt on tuesday and she weighed 20 lbs, 5 oz.  She's 30% for height and 40% for weight which is HUGE for our kids!  Her weight to height percentile is 60% so she's chunky for sure, but very healthy.  She had to have blood drawn from her heel to test for iron and lead and it was so sad.  Then she had 3 shots :(  She's been a little bit grumpy and feverish so I've been giving her extra loves.  But all and all it went good, dr says she looks and sounds great!
