We've battled a stomach bug here for the last couple weeks. I think it's finally out of our house (knock on wood!) The girls also got to have crazy hair day at school last week. They had fun with that. On St.Patricks day we did the usual green shamrock pancakes for breakfast and they of course dressed in green.
Sydnee is all registered for kindergarten. I took her last friday and we gave them all our paperwork and a teacher did a little evaluation on her (which she knew everything but how to read the sentence they showed her). Then we went and looked at a kindergarten room and it hit me hard that my baby is going to be in that huge class with all those kids and all on her own. I think it will be harder for me than her. I let her play on the playground before we left and she really loved that. She's very excited to start in about 4 months.
Maycee has learned to go up the stairs and is also working on her 6th tooth. Crazy how fast she is growing up!
Kaydee has the biggest imagination. She now made up a naughty little guy she calls "Bygie". I think it's because we call her Buggy. Ha ha. So she's always telling me that Bygie is doing naughty things and that he is a bad boy. It's so funny. Like she wanted over the gate and I told her to wait a second so she said "well Bygie is going to climb over the gate. See! He climbed over and he didn't crack his head!" Like I'm going to let her do that since Bygie did. She is so funny.
This morning Kaydee was playing dress up and she put on a dr coat and said she was Dr. Seuss. It made me laugh.
Sydnee is the PICKIEST eater on the planet. If we can get her to try anything new, she will put it in her mouth, instantly gag and then throw up. She doesn't eat meat, fruit, or veggies. She likes strictly carbs. It's so hard. But last night we were having hot dogs and I told her if she would have 5 bites then we would go get her some ice cream. She wanted to, but just kept staring at it and then would pick it up and chicken out and tell us no ice cream. Finally Jeff had an idea to sandwich a piece of hotdog between cheetos and asked her if she wanted to eat it that way. So she did it! She ate her 5 bites. It is a small step, but a victory none the less. Even better, she wanted hot dog with cheetos for lunch today :) I'm sure she wouldn't sit down and eat a hot dog, but it's a step in the right direction. Jeff took her to get ice cream and on the way there she was singing along to her music and suddenly stopped, and this is how the conversation went.
S: "Daddy, you're a loser."
J: "WHAT?"
S: "You're a loser. You lose at everything. You lose at Sequence, you lose at Candy Land, you lose at the Ladybug game. You are a loser."
J: "Well yeah, I guess I do."
S: "Say thank you."
J: "Thank you, Sydnee."
S: "You're welcome."
