Melting mommy's heart..

Sydnee was sitting at the table quietly one day with some blank papers.  She was entertained so I didn't pay any attention.  Then she came to me and handed me a book she had made.  She drew pics and stapled the pages together.  This was her story:

Did you know Mom is special and she gives a lot of love to me.
I love you mom and you are so sweet.
I love you mom.
I love my mom so much.  I love the parties she has planned.
I like my mom.
I love my mom because my mom makes a lot of cakes.
I love my mom because she is a lot of fun to play with.
I love my mom because she is the best in the family.

Then Kaydee had to make a book.  Hers says:

I love my mom because my mom is special.
I love my mom because she is so sweet.
I love my mommy.

I think I win for the sweetest kids in the world.  Heart.  Melted.

Hello toothfairy!

The toothfairy has been at our house a lot lately!  Sydnee has lost 6 teeth, and Kaydee just lost her first one yesterday.  Sydnee hates everything about losing teeth and dreads it.  Kaydee wiggled hers until it was sore and then bit into a taffy to get it out.  She was so excited for her first visit from the tooth fairy!

Poor Maycee is convinced her teeth need to fall out.  She sees their dollars and puts her hands out and says "what about me?  I don't have any dollars."  So sad..yet adorable.

Funny stuff

I love writing these things down to remember in the future.

Yesterday I told Sydnee to get her glasses on for school, and she came down like this:

Maycee started saying something and I couldn't figure out where it came from until we were in the car and a Katy Perry song was on.  What she had been saying was "no no no no, bring the beat back."  So randomly today she was talking about chickens and that chickens say bock.  Then all the sudden she starts saying "no no no no, bring the beat bock" and laughing her head off at herself.  She said "That funny joke!"

Sydnee thought another word for belly button was nay-hole instead of navel.

Kaydee was saying something about 'when someone feeds the dogs people food' so I said who feeds them people food?  Without even a pause she goes "Uhh nevermind!"

Fun in the snow!

Jeff is sick, so I thought I would try and have the driveway and walks shoveled when he got home from work.  But I got a bit side tracked!  The kids wanted to build a snowman, which of course turned into me making a snowman and they helped a little.  Ha ha.  We had fun and I did get a lot of the shoveling done.

A new year approaches

2013 is ending on a wonderful note.  I'm happy to say that Sydnee has grown 1 1/4 inches and gained 3 lbs since starting growth hormone treatment.  She is now 41.5 inches tall, and 37.8 lbs.  She's doing great in school and has taken off in reading.  She has grown up a lot this year and I can really see her sweet, sensitive, funny personality coming out more and more.
Kaydee is such a great big sister.  When Sydnee is at school she plays and plays with Maycee.  She teaches her new things, and gets her to try new foods that we can't get her to eat.  Maycee adores her.  Kaydee has a very fiesty, wild and funny personality.  She is daring and hyper and always makes me laugh.
Maycee is such a mommy's girl.  I love it.  When anything happens she says "I need to hold mama!" and she comes to find me.  She loves to sing her abc's, twinkle twinkle, and jingle bells.  She knows her colors and some shapes.  She likes to play with big girl toys like her sisters.  She loves watching videos on the kindle and her favorite show is Paw Patrol.
One highlight of me and Jeff's year was that we got to go to our first Bronco game.  What a blast!

We look forward to what 2014 brings us.  Happy New Year!!

Merry Christmas!!!

The kids were so excited on Christmas morning.  They woke up and....

Santa had come!!!

It was a Lalaloopsy Christmas for sure.  That was what they asked for and they got tons!
The kids played for a while and then we went to Grandma and Papa's for a huge Christmas breakfast.  After that, they were spoiled with tons more presents!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Sheriff's for lunch and even more presents!  Then we went to Chris and Amy's house for dinner.  It was amazing.  Such good food and we all had a great time.  The kids played and played, the adults got to sit and watch and talk, and it was the perfect end to a wonderful day. Christmas is always a very busy day, but I wouldn't want it any other way. We feel so grateful for the wonderful family we have.  Everyone does so much for us, and we appreciate how special they make the holidays.  I will always treasure the memories.

The favorite gifts this year:
Sydnee- Fairy Lilac Lalaloopsy, a computer typing game, Mr. Pencil Leappad game and Barbies.
Kaydee- Pogo stick, Crumbs, Charlotte and Sherry Lalaloopsy dolls, and a Lalaloopsy teapot game.
Maycee - She loves it all!  But she plays with a Bubble Guppies school toy a lot and her Peanut Lalaloopsy.
Me and Jeff-  We love the gift my parents gave.  A wrapped present that came from the freezer.  They put money in ziploc bags and then put it in a tupperware of water and froze it.  On top of the tupperware said "Cold hard cash".  Such a clever idea.  Love it!

Christmas Eve

Of course the kids all got sick just in time for Christmas.  But we tried to make the best of it.
First we did our usual tradition of making sugar cookies to leave for Santa.

That afternoon we went to Grandma and Papa's and played some fun games and the kids won prizes and treats.  They had a blast.

We watched Christmas Eve on Sesame street, ate yummy food, read the night before Christmas, and let the kids open 1 present (new Christmas PJ's.)  It was so much fun!

When we got home that night, we sprinkled reindeer dust outside and Sydnee and Kaydee saw a red light in the sky and said it was Rudolph's nose.  So they wanted to get to bed as soon as possible since he was heading right for us.  We went inside and got Santa's cookies and milk out, said goodbye to Hermie, and went to bed.
