Happy 6th birthday Sydnee!

I think 6 sounds so old.  Like my baby is really growing up.  I always say "oh you are getting so big" about my kids, but 6 really seems to start the 'big kid' stage.  Sydnee was very excited about her birthday this year.  She counted down the days for at least the last 2 weeks.
The night before I decorated the kitchen/dining room in all princess stuff.

She was very excited when she got up and couldn't wait to open presents.

After the kids got all dressed and ready, Jeff surprised them with the gift that is for both of them to share for their birthdays.  We decided to give it to them now, because their birthday party will be the day before Kaydee's birthday and they will be getting a lot of gifts around that time.

We put the sprinkler under the trampoline and they had a blast!

Grandma and Papa met us at Applebees for dinner and then came for cake and ice cream afterwards.  We didn't do anything big since it was a weeknight and they are having a birthday party too.  But she had fun and all day she kept saying "This is the best birthday ever.  I can't believe I'm 6!"

We love our little Sydnee.  She is so special to us.  She's a very sweet person and loves affection.  She is also super smart and eager to learn.  She's VERY talkative and inquisitive, and sometimes we struggle to keep up with it.  But I wouldn't want it any other way.
Sydnee, I love you 1 million times around the moon and back..times infinity.  Xoxoxo.

Silliest dog ever!!

Does this look comfortable?
I caught him driving the camaro.

This weird dog naps in the bathtub!  When I can't find him, I now always know where to look.

He's not the only silly one in the house though... Check out happy meal night in our family.

Trip to the zoo

We hadn't been to the zoo for a couple years so we decided to go before it got too hot.  It was the perfect day and so much fun.  Jeff was working so he couldn't come, but Grandma Becky and Chris' family all came.  It was a very busy day there for being a sunday but once we finally got a parking space, it didn't seem too bad inside the zoo.  One of the cool things about the visit was they had all the big Lego animals on display.  They were amazing!

I think the kids loved the monkeys the most, but they also got to watch an elephant having a bath, and the whole sea life part was fun. I did lose Kaydee once, because she kept zoning off and not following, but we found her fast and even though it scared her she was fine.  But I didn't take my eyes off her the rest of the time.  Little stinker!
