A new year approaches

2013 is ending on a wonderful note.  I'm happy to say that Sydnee has grown 1 1/4 inches and gained 3 lbs since starting growth hormone treatment.  She is now 41.5 inches tall, and 37.8 lbs.  She's doing great in school and has taken off in reading.  She has grown up a lot this year and I can really see her sweet, sensitive, funny personality coming out more and more.
Kaydee is such a great big sister.  When Sydnee is at school she plays and plays with Maycee.  She teaches her new things, and gets her to try new foods that we can't get her to eat.  Maycee adores her.  Kaydee has a very fiesty, wild and funny personality.  She is daring and hyper and always makes me laugh.
Maycee is such a mommy's girl.  I love it.  When anything happens she says "I need to hold mama!" and she comes to find me.  She loves to sing her abc's, twinkle twinkle, and jingle bells.  She knows her colors and some shapes.  She likes to play with big girl toys like her sisters.  She loves watching videos on the kindle and her favorite show is Paw Patrol.
One highlight of me and Jeff's year was that we got to go to our first Bronco game.  What a blast!

We look forward to what 2014 brings us.  Happy New Year!!

Merry Christmas!!!

The kids were so excited on Christmas morning.  They woke up and....

Santa had come!!!

It was a Lalaloopsy Christmas for sure.  That was what they asked for and they got tons!
The kids played for a while and then we went to Grandma and Papa's for a huge Christmas breakfast.  After that, they were spoiled with tons more presents!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Sheriff's for lunch and even more presents!  Then we went to Chris and Amy's house for dinner.  It was amazing.  Such good food and we all had a great time.  The kids played and played, the adults got to sit and watch and talk, and it was the perfect end to a wonderful day. Christmas is always a very busy day, but I wouldn't want it any other way. We feel so grateful for the wonderful family we have.  Everyone does so much for us, and we appreciate how special they make the holidays.  I will always treasure the memories.

The favorite gifts this year:
Sydnee- Fairy Lilac Lalaloopsy, a computer typing game, Mr. Pencil Leappad game and Barbies.
Kaydee- Pogo stick, Crumbs, Charlotte and Sherry Lalaloopsy dolls, and a Lalaloopsy teapot game.
Maycee - She loves it all!  But she plays with a Bubble Guppies school toy a lot and her Peanut Lalaloopsy.
Me and Jeff-  We love the gift my parents gave.  A wrapped present that came from the freezer.  They put money in ziploc bags and then put it in a tupperware of water and froze it.  On top of the tupperware said "Cold hard cash".  Such a clever idea.  Love it!

Christmas Eve

Of course the kids all got sick just in time for Christmas.  But we tried to make the best of it.
First we did our usual tradition of making sugar cookies to leave for Santa.

That afternoon we went to Grandma and Papa's and played some fun games and the kids won prizes and treats.  They had a blast.

We watched Christmas Eve on Sesame street, ate yummy food, read the night before Christmas, and let the kids open 1 present (new Christmas PJ's.)  It was so much fun!

When we got home that night, we sprinkled reindeer dust outside and Sydnee and Kaydee saw a red light in the sky and said it was Rudolph's nose.  So they wanted to get to bed as soon as possible since he was heading right for us.  We went inside and got Santa's cookies and milk out, said goodbye to Hermie, and went to bed.

Hermie returned!

Hermie came back to keep an eye on the kids for Santa.  The kids loved finding him every morning.  Sometimes in silly places, like their jewelry box..

Or posing with their picture..

He even assembled gingerbread houses so they could decorate them.

On his last day here, he left yummy muffins for breakfast.  The kids said goodbye to him before going to bed on Christmas Eve.  They hope to see him again next year.

Sheriff annual Christmas party

Sydnee got off of Santa's lap with her gift and ran to us and said "He put me on the nice list!  He must have forgot all the stuff I did!"  LOL

Some of the sweetest people you will ever meet.

Great Grandpa made these for the girls.  He never runs out of ideas.  They are a stool and bench in one!

Christmas lights!

We ate at Olive Garden first and then headed to the Christmas park.  It's such a fun tradition and we look forward to it every year.

It was nice to go early in the year and not freeze!  We had a blast.  Especially Maycee.  She LOVES lights this year.
We are getting so excited for Christmas.  We got our tree and our lights up.  Hermie, our elf on the shelf, came back.  He's keeping a good eye on the girls and they are on their best behavior. I hope it lasts and they will end up on the nice list!

Halloween

Halloween was a busy day.  Sydnee and Kaydee both got to have a Halloween party at school and then as soon as I got them home I had to get them all dressed up and makeup done and then we met daddy at grandma and papa's.  We ate dinner there and the kids decorated some pumpkins with stickers.  Then we went trick or treating in their neighborhood.  It was the first year that the older girls were leaving us in their dust.  They wanted to run to every house as quick as they could.  Maycee was so good at saying trick or treat and thank you.  But we had to haul her around to keep up with the other kids.  It was tons of fun and they got way too much candy.
After that, we went to grandma and grandpa's house and went to a couple of their neighbors.  Kaydee wanted to keep going but the other 2 were tired, so we ended up going home and putting them all to bed.

Kaydee as the Lalaloopsy 'Spot Splatter Splash'

Sydnee the clown

Maycee as her favorite Minnie Mouse

All so adorable!!

Pumpkins with my pumpkins

We made these cute little peanut butter treats and they were fun!  And pretty yummy too!

This was our first attempt at letting Sydnee and Kaydee carve pumpkins.  They did great!  They both drew their own designs, but Kaydee carved hers on her own without help.

The finished products: (daddy carved Maycee's minion).

Kaydee did both on the left, Sydnee's is on the right.  Good job!!

Frightmares!
