I gotta write this stuff down!

I've been told to start a blog. I kept saying I wouldn't have time. But ya know what? I'm going to MAKE time. I need to have a place where I record the silly things my kids do and say, and the memories we make each day. I don't have time to scrapbook, so this is the next best thing. I want to make sure I remember what my girls were like during their childhood so I can tease them about it later on. Ha ha.
Ok, so first is Sydnee. She's 4 1/2 now and wants to know who, what, why, when, where and how everything in the world works. Her brain never stops going. Some of her questions even make me stop and think! Some funny things she's done lately:
At tumbling on tuesday, every time the teacher told them to run and get a drink she'd come over and chug chug chug and then say "The team needs me!" and run off. Then yesterday she went downstairs to go potty only to come right back up whining and saying "I don't have time to put the toilet seat down, I'm starting to pee!" (yes, she had time to come and tell me that but not to put the seat down. Silly girl.) The other day Sydnee was 'reading' Kaydee a story and said "It would be fun to hop into this book, Kaydee!" Then she looked at me like 'what?' and said "Well if I had a magic wand I COULD!" The other day I heard her calling for me somewhere. I went upstairs and asked where she was. She yelled that she was in the bathroom. So I went in and asked why she closed the door and she threw her hands up in the air and said "Because I needed some private-cy!" She has just started doing cartwheels, and she is so random about it. She can be watching tv or something and just jump up and do a cartwheel and then sit back down. She just cracks me up.
Then there is Kaydee. She's 3 1/2 and a total firecracker. She has attitude but she sure is cute! She's super active and loves to climb on things. Seriously, the other day she climbed up the door by hanging onto the doorknob with her hands. She has such a crazy imagination too. She will just start telling some big story and she gets all excited about it. I don't know where she comes up with the things she does. A while back I was sitting on the couch feeding Maycee when Kaydee comes walking up the stairs with a stool. She set it in the middle of the room, stood up on it and told this big story. "Ladies and gentlemen! Once upon a time there was a big dragon. And he was eating the people. And his head came off and hot red strings were coming out." I asked what people it was eating and she said "All the people that don't have houses." So it was a story about a homeless eating monster. Nice. And we've showed the girls our wedding video. So Kaydee was talking about it and asked why they weren't on the video. I told her they weren't there. Her eyes got huge and she said "We were at our house all ALONE?" Ha ha. I told her they weren't born yet. So she was asking if they were in my belly. I said no, not yet. So then the question of "Well where were we then?" started. Aw, kids. They keep you on your toes.
Maycee is 9 months now, but she acts older. She's the one that I really don't want to hit milestones, because I enjoy every stage so much. I just don't want her to grow up. But she crawls, pulls up to stand on everything, cruises a little bit, feeds herself, eats anything and everything in sight, and is growing like a weed. There won't be any issue flipping her carseat around when she turns one. She is our easiest baby by far and is so so happy. She'll just stare and wait for attention and you look at her and she grins ear to ear. She gets the giggles sometimes, which Jeff loves because I am the same way. Usually at night before bed when she is tired (which is how I am), she just starts giggling at everything. We love that time of day with her (actually I love all times of the day with her. She's soooo sweet.) She loves giving kisses, she says mama and has said dada a couple times. She waves bye bye and claps. And she thinks it's so funny to point at things in books. I don't know why, but she gets that pointer finger out and points at something on the page and just giggles at herself. Maybe she's proud that she learned to do it.
Me and Jeff are good. Jeff is a busy guy. Very hard worker. He works his full time job plus a lot of side work. I just hold down the fort and run the girls around to preschool, tumbling and whatever else we need to do. Thursday is our 'home day' which is nice because I can get a lot done and not have to be anywhere. Next year that will change though because Sydnee will start kindergarten.
I am going to do my best at keeping this updated and posting pictures and stories and anything I think I'll want to use against my kids in the future. I'm kidding of course. (Or maybe not.)
